This hands-on, four-hour tutorial is an introduction to the essential skills required to use Vectorworks Spotlight to create and manage lighting plots. Attendees will discover the advantages of using information modeling in the design phase to streamline workflows from start to finish. Users will create a lighting design and 3D model from scratch using the built-in plug-ins and tools contained within Vectorworks Spotlight. From this data model, users will patch and focus lighting devices, explore lighting labels, create reports, generate light plot and schematic views, and publish documentation in a variety of formats. No lighting professional should be without these skills in today's entertainment industry.
Target Audience: Lighting designers, electricians, board operators, and lighting design educators (anyone who needs to make light plots).
Prerequisites: Attendees must know the basics of how to use a computer and must know the basics of creating light plots on paper or within another CAD system.
