Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Learn the basic steps and mathematical equations for creating a bridle using stock pieces of rigging steel, and calculating the tension on each leg as well as the horizontal and vertical forces on the points.

Audience: Riggers of all ranks

By the end of this workshop, an attentive person should be able to:
  • Calculate the exact pieces of stock rigging steel needed to create a bridle that will hit an exact point;
  • Calculate the tension on each leg of the bridle; and
  • Calculate the vertical and horizontal forces placed on the rigging anchor by the load, as passed through the bridle.
