Jeff Ravitz is a Primetime Emmy Award-winning lighting designer specializing in multi-camera television capture of live, studio-based, and webcast entertainment: concerts, award shows, and stand-up comedy specials, as well as talk shows, game shows, corporate meetings, interviews, sitcoms, infomercials and internet online media production. In 2021 he released the book "Lighting for Televised Live Entertainment." (published by Routledge) and lit two Kevin Hart shows, "Hart to Heart" and "Olympic Highlights" (Peacock). In 2019 & 2020: he lit 8 award shows; 5 comedy specials; a concert film; music specials; concert tour; corporate meetings; an IPO launch.

Credits include: 2010 Olympics nightly medal ceremonies and concert broadcasts, comedy and music specials in clubs to stadiums, news magazine shows, televised debates, concert tour designs, live Christmas broadcasts from Brazil, and the annual TED Conference. I have been the television lighting consultant for the Coachella festival since 2016. He has given lectures in the US, Spain, Mexico and China, and has organized, curated and emceed several master classes on concert lighting and televised live-for-broadcast entertainment lighting.
