Kara O’Grady
Evoke Collaborative
Architectural Lighting Design & Project Management
Kara began her love of lighting in high school when she was a ballet dancer and discovered she preferred creating art with light instead of pointe shoes. She graduated from NCSA and started designing for dance and opera up and down the east coast.
When she returned to New York she started working in permanent installations with PRG systems where she was involved with creating and renovating multiple theaters, TV studios and sculpting the NYC skyline with light. Kara’s work can be seen from ABC Studios to Vapiano restaurants.
Kara’s love of renovation and her intense hate for multiple color temperatures sparked her interest in Architectural Lighting Design. Joining Evoke allows her to pursue her passion of improving the world outlook through better lighting.
